Wing Tsun (also spelled Wing Chun) is a traditional Chinese martial art focused on close-range combat and self-defence. Developed for quick and effective responses to aggression, Wing Tsun emphasises fluid, efficient movements, redirection of force, and the use of body mechanics rather than brute strength. It’s known for techniques like chain punching, centreline attacks, and sticky hands (Chi Sao) drills, which develop sensitivity and responsiveness to an opponent’s movements.

At London Martial Arts and Fitness Academy, our Wing Tsun program trains students to control and neutralise threats using precise, practical techniques. Classes cover essential skills such as blocking, deflecting, and counter-attacking, with an emphasis on reflex training, balance, and structure. Students learn to respond instinctively and maintain control, regardless of the attacker’s size or strength. Guided by skilled instructors, our program develops confidence, coordination, and effective self-defence skills, providing a well-rounded training experience for practitioners of all levels who appreciate the discipline and philosophy of Wing Tsun.
