Please read and abide by these rules as they are there for the benefit of everyone. As a Chinese Wing Tsun Kung-Fu School we teach our students to the highest level and we expect the behaviour of our students to reflect this. Intentional or repeated breaking of these rules can lead to expulsion.
Respect the Space
Keep the facility clean and tidy at all times. Remove outdoor shoes before entering the training area and dispose of waste responsibly.
Punctuality is Key
Arrive 5-10 minutes before your session begins. Late arrivals disrupt the flow of the class and may result in missing vital instructions or warm-ups.
Practice Personal Hygiene
Ensure your uniform or gym wear is clean and odor-free. Trim nails and avoid wearing jewellery during training for the safety of yourself and others.
Respect Your Instructors
Follow the instructions of your coaches and instructors without interruption. Bow or acknowledge them as a sign of respect at the beginning and end of each session.
Support Your Training Partners
Treat others with respect and care during sparring or drills. Avoid excessive force and always prioritize safety over competition.
No Phones in Training Areas
Mobile phones should be kept on silent or switched off during sessions. If you need to make a call, step outside the training space.
Dress Appropriately
Wear the required uniform or clothing for your discipline, such as gis, gloves, or wraps. Ensure all gear is in good condition to avoid accidents.
Focus on Learning, Not Winning
Training is for development, not for showing off. Stay humble, and use feedback to improve your technique and understanding.
Be Inclusive and Welcoming
Foster a positive environment by encouraging new members and showing kindness. Avoid cliques, and help others feel comfortable in the space.
Observe Gym Rules During Sparring
Always wear protective gear during sparring and follow the instructor's guidelines. Tap out when necessary, and never criticize or mock a training partner’s performance.
